What Rebecca Harvested from China…

Rebecca Fanning from University of Kent went to China with us in the summer of 2013. This was what she said to us after she returned. Indeed, she then went to Hong Kong as an exchange student for a year during her study in university. Rebecca made many Chinese friends and studied the language while she was out there. She was in love with this culture. When I contacted her recently, she showed me she could type in Chinese!

A few days after his A levels exams, Henry boarded his flight to China on 1st July with great excitement, because he is going to spend his summer of 2014 with a Chinese host family in Huizhou, Guangdong! After a long flight, He arrived his new home safely the next day. It has been a week, here are some short notes from him:

“China is fantastic, thank you, very hot though.”

“Here’s a photo of us at 红花湖 with some of the cousins too. Jingxiang is very quiet and it seems he is not very interested in learning English although he is very kind and we get on well. The whole family have been amazing, helping me to understand what’s going on and taking me to wonderful places.”
