Chinese new year special!


On yesterday’s lesson, we did some Chinese new year special activity. The teacher explained what the chinese flowers (peony, lotus, plum blossom, chrysanthemum, bamboo) represent in Chinese culture. Everyone also had a go writing 福 character with brush pens, which will bring us fortune in this brand new year of dragon!

We also had a new student join in! Welcome 🙂



We are in the local newspaper today for the children workshops last Saturday!! Well done all of us! (^o^)

Celebrating Chinese Year of Dragon With Children in Hove Library

We are proud to announce  that we are invited to run activities for children with Hove Library to celebrate the  Chinese New Year of Dragon on 21 January. It is going to be the 3rd year we get involved in this event. In previous years, many children and their parents participated and enjoyed themselves.  Our tutors and helpers also had a good time. This year, workshops will be even more exciting, including an interactive new year story telling, Chinese calligraphy (writing with brush pens), dragon making, using chopsticks, face painting and much more.  This is also the launch session for our monthly educational art workshops in the libriary starting from 11 February 2012.

Time: 10.30-12.30
